I am searching for any information about Emil DEROO. He was born in Torhout or Ichtegem, Belgium on May 3, 1852. He emmigrated to the US and settled in Faribault, MN. He married Caroline Van Horn and he died on August 18, 1934. Any information you have about him would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on Riley PHILBROOK and his wife Lovina (CLARK) PHILBROOK. They were married in Northfield, Rice Cty, MN on Feb 22, `1866. They also appear in the 1870 Census in Northfield. Lovina CLARK was daughter of Sullivan and Diantha CLARK.

John BALLATA, Rice County 1885 with wife Elizabeth KOTLABA. Had 6 children and moved in 1886 to Ipswich S.D. John was born in 1864 in Bohemia. His father was Frank Ballata, wife Mary ------ born in Bohemia in 1827. Had 4 living children -- John and Anton are only ones I know of. Any Ballata's or Kotlaba's still in area?

Looking for great and great-great grandfathers. Richard WOLFORD or Jefferson WOLFORD. I understand that Richard was born in Indiana about 1856 but that he moved his family, which included his wife Rebecca, to Shieldsville, Rice County about the mid-1890s. Richard WOLFORD, b. 14-MAR-1846 or possibly 1854. Later married Rebecca SORG. They had 9 children: Walter, Matilda, Andrew, Eleanor, Wilbert, Arthur, Henry, Charles and Raymond. Richard died about July 1917. Richard's father was Jefferson WOLFORD. b. in Indiana is all I know. He married Eleanore DEGROFT or DEGRAFT. Don't know the date but have beent old it was in Pennsylvania.

The name is John MULLENBERG, living in Faribault, MN in the early 1900's. they owned a General Blacksmithing and Horseshoeing business and General Store specializing in Fancy Groceries. I think Their address was North Western 98. I have pictures of the Mullenberg family and momento's and letters, store ledger and store stationary. If any family or collector of these items are interested....just give me a note.

I am trying to find any information on the MAGOON surname. Harrison Clifton MAGOON, who served with Co. C. Sharp Shooters, Minnesota, during the Civil War lists his residence as Faribault MN, and he also married a Clare APPLEGARTH at that location, and the marriage was performed by a Rev. GREGG. We have expanded our knowledge somewhat on Wharton and Louisa HALL. Wharton and Louisa are both listed as coming from Vermont. Wharton's brother was Martin HALL and served in the Civil War. He was living at the home of Alonso RENSLOW in 1860. Then with Wharton and Louisa and listed as serving in the Civil War in 1865. Wharton and Louisa's children were Mary HALL b. 1852 in Wisconsin and married William HUTTON. Daughter Ellen was born in 1854 in Wisconsin and married Charles Paul. They had one daughter Nellie. Sister Martha married someone with the last name of PAUL also. They had a daughter Bertie (Paul?) marred to unknown MONSON. They were living in Glendive, Montana in 1922. Anything anyone would have on the HALLs, MONSONs or PAUL's would be deeply appreciated. I have lots to share. There was also a son, Leonard, who remained in Walcott, Rice County, MN. In 1922 the PAUL family are in Downing, Dunn County, Wisconsin.

A diary was put into my possession in hopes I could find a family to which it belongs, It carries information on the first year of life for a Barbara ELLINGBOE. She was born in 1933 in Minneapolis. The diary mentions relatives living in Northfield, Minnesota. Barbara ELLINGBOE'S father was a professor at the U. of Minnesota in the 1930's. I know there is a Craig ELLLINGBOE living in Northfield, Minnesota now. I hope this message somehow reaches him, and that he may have knowledge of Barbara ELLLINGBOE who was born in 1933.

CASEY, thomas f., br.1832 Ireland died 1896. Buried St. Patricks Cem. Sheildsville Minn.. Married Catherine KELLEY sister of andy KELLEY of Erin. Came to to U.S. with two brothers John and Timothy in 1856. Thomas was on a claim in section 5 of the Wells twp. Thomas latter buys a blacksmith shop from m. COCHRAN. Brother John KELLEY married elize DUDLEY and went to Benson Minn. Timothy CASEY lived in section 7 Wells TWP. with ellen,lizzy,mary,tressa,timand tom. (from The History of St. Patricks Church in Sheildsville). I am trying to locate where in Ireland theses CASEY'S and KELLEY,s came.

I am hoping to connect with anybody who has knowledge of an Ellingcoe family which lived in Minneapolis in the 1930's. I have a diary given to me so that I could locate relatives of Barbara Ellingcoe. The diary speaks to Barbara's first year of life in 1933. Her father was a professor at the U. of Minnesota in the 1930's. Northfield, Minnesota, is mentioned in the diary. Can anybody be of help? Are there still ELLINGCOE families in Northfield?
