HILL, RAUCH posted by marlene thiel on Thursday, April 1, 1999

Can anyone tell me anything about Christ HILL who lived in Hastings Minnesota and married a Emma RAUCH there in about 1901. He was born in Russia and the stories I've heard is that at one time he owned an icehouse and a livery stable there in Hastings before moving to Mt. to homestead. Know nothing about any parents or siblings or his migration pattern. Any little thing would be of a great help. Thanks a lot.

ALDRICH, EVANS posted by Sally Chirlin on Thursday, April 1, 1999

My ancestors David and Rowena Aldrich Evans came to Rice Co. after the Civil War with their eldest son Alexander Evans and his family. Many others came with them from Plymouth, Chenango Co., NY, and settle in Warsaw. I have data on both the Aldrich and Evans families dating back to New England and England. I would be interested in corresponding with descendants and others interested in this family. I would like to find descendants who still may reside in Rice Co. Other children who were born to David and Rowena include Adeline Evans Hewit Tracy, King, Gideon, Bonaparte and Isaac Evans. I descend from King. David, Rowena and Alexander are all buried in Warsaw although I haven't been able to locate Rowena's grave. I would also like to know more about Rowena's parents. Her father was Stephen Aldrich. David's parents were David and Robey Aldrich Evans and they are buried here in Plymouth, Chenango Co., NY.

BRICE, COLLINS, DAVENPORT, HARCUM, HARKCOM, READY posted by Gloria Torsen on Sunday, April 11, 1999

Hello. I am trying to find a death date and circumstances of death for O.F. Davenport, aka F.O.aka Oscar. He was born in Canada and was the son of Eugene B. Davenport. His father was a widower and married 2nd Nancy Allen of Northfield. O.F. Oscar Davenport was the husband of Lena Brown. Lena was born N.Y and the grand daughter of Sarah Cole. The 1900 Census shows Lena as a widow with three children, Irene, Helen and Ralph. She later died, dod unknown, but the children were farmed out. Where? to Who? Nothing appears for this O.F.or Lena in the Dalby database. Mr. Dalby search his data and sent me all he had. Oscar L. Davenport is not the Oscar I am looking for. Oscar F. Davenport, husband of Lena died sometime between 01 May 1899 and 31 Dec 1899. He was about 26 years of age. Were there any accidents reported in local papers at that time or reports of any disappearances or diseases that could account for his early death. The son of Oscar, Ralph Emerson Davenport, was my grandfather. He was born 8 Jan 1899 in Northfield, Rice, MN. He died in Washington State 29 Feb 1936 leaving a widow and 5 small children. I know nothing about his sisters Irene and Helen. Any information on this family would greatly be appreciated. Thank you, Gloria Torsen

I am searching for a relative of mine with this name who lived in either Western Wisconsin or in Minnesota, and I would like to establish if the one in Rice or Steele Counties is the one I am looking for. I live in Norway and I am thus too far away to be able to do this lookup myself. Thank you for your kind consideration.
