SCALLY posted by Bill Borchert on Thursday, November 18, 1999

I am attempting to find the dates of the deaths of my great-grandparents, Thomas Scally and Ann Brown Scally. They were Irish immigrants who came first to New Orleans in the 1840's, moved to Cincinnati when Ann contracted yellow fever (I can place them there in 1860 when my grandfather was born), and finally to the Northfield area. Thomas was reputed to have been a farmer.

He was a Democratic candidate for governor in 1873 and served as sherriff of Rice county from 1876 to 1885. Ara died at Morristown November 6 1898. Would like to learn the surname of his wife Louisa, and to learn of any children and descendants.

What agency do I contact in Minnesota to have a certified copy of my birth certificate "verified". For the purposes of an international adoption, my birth certificate must be verified by the issuing authority or by the Election Divison of the Secretary of State. You may contact me by phone at (800) 889-9801. Thank you. Kathleen Cook

ADAMS, FULTON posted by Nancy Adams-Fisher on Friday, December 17, 1999

I have been researching my (paternal) family; surname ADAMS. My great-aunt, Mary Adams-FULTON at 2412 Russell Avenue South, Minneapolis, 1955. I met her only a couple of times 1954-1955 while I was in school. Although her parents and a couple of siblings were born in England, Mary may have been born here, in the USA. I would like to know where she lived (besides MN), where she was married and where she is buried. Every once in awhile, I fly home to visit family/friends, and would love to pay my respects and add her name and her history to the rest. Thank you for ANY assistance or information. Nancy Adams-Fisher. njfisher@vssp.com
