BYRNE, CONNOR, PHERSON posted by Matt Jensen on Sunday, April 16, 2000

Andrew Byrne and Ellen Connor are the immigrants from Ireland, parents of Christopher Columbus Byrne. CC Byrne b. 1846, d. 1915. Married Olga (or Inga) Pherson in 1902, all I know about her is she is from Pine Island? Family tradition holds that he was a teacher and she a student at the Minnesota State School for the Deaf and Dumb in Faribault. She died in Walker Sanatorium for Consumptives. I am wondering if she's buried next to him at Calvary Cemetery, which would give me b. and d. dates. Additionally, would anyone know where records of the sanatorium or deaf school might have ended up?

The survivers were said to have been adopted by neighbors. Have been try- ing to find out more about this. Any help appreci- ated.
